Hwo is crap at Fujin+ because Fujin+ is garbage ranks, and that goes for both Hwo players and the opponents at those ranks. They still don't bother learning and labbing how to play defense against him and because of that, Hwo players have a false sense of security. They rely on their flowchart and do well until they get to Tekken King and Emperor. The caliber of Hwoarangs in the blue ranks are so bad. Also, no good Hwoarang players doing well in tournaments? I guess K-wiss doesn't count. Metadata can be wonky. Jack-8 is always considered a "hard" character to play because he doesn't have some things other character have, like a 10 frame jab to get out of tight situations and has absolutely no sidestep, but Jack players have to be better at fundamentals to get more out of him. Metadata says Jacks overall do well in ranked matches while being one of the lowest played characters. When no one knows the match up, they do well. Bad Hwoarang players are bringing his meta down.

Umm, EDGE has been one of the most successful players *period* in Korea for Tekken 8. He won one of the ATL weeklies (proving your point wrong since those are some of the most stacked tourneys in the world) and has multiple top 3 placings in those. Hell, Hwo's had noticeably better overall tournament results than he did at any point in 7!

You guys probably have issues with reading text, so let me repeat: Fujin + means fujin - GoD. LOL These are, obviously, the most statisticly representive (highest skilcap) ranks in terms of balance representation, the only better one could be tournaments, but they lack variety of data (1,8m matches vs like how many, 200+ at biggest tournament?), but still they back up the data with bears in EVERY TOP8 or even Grand finals, with Jack, Claudio, Dragunovs, Nina and Fengs at top if their players play. Also, Baaz gauntlet wasn't as much representative as Dreamhack Dallas or EVO Japan,where Hwoarangs were at bottom. Also, Edge won once or twice ATL weakly? It was local, it was on the quite easier level (not much competition), since at any huge tournament he cousn't pass to top 8 even. And dont forget that there were like 5 or 6 of them where he lost. And don't write the noncense about Hwo are spamming flowcharts at fujin+ dude, coz it actually equals to EVERYONE is doing the same thing. Im not even saying that Hwo doesnt have instantly viable Hellsweep, slide, blockcrush, low ch launcher, which make his flowcharts always risky and on ranks like red+ it has to be more reactive, not even saying how much execution it requires (EWGF can be done consistently even at red ranks, while I dont see that much Hwo performing JFSR even at battle ruler, not even saying about techs like sidestep JFSR or wavu JFSR, which requires if not the highest, but atleast one of the highest execution in game). There are no argument to consider this character players performing anyhow worse or better then other players EXCEPT objective metadata. Same goes to other lowest performing characters with stance game and/or high execution like Kazuya or DJ. And he s at bottom winratio sinc release, with the downwards tendentions (meaning the more people learn the game, the more this char weakness appears to be obvious).

@@666slateran666 i don't think he's hard to play, that's why I had it in quotations. It's in relation to being able to get out of rushdown situations since he doesn't have the 10f jab and due to his huge size, he cannot sidestep out of situations like a normal character. He has his flaws.

It's tough out there when you have another job at the tournament besides playing. UltraDavid's taken some names in SF6 with Modern Honda, but he's still not cracking top 16 in majors.

​@@TheFightingGentleman but the character is bugged. The buff kazuya got, were supposed to be for law. RIP is right. Only low ranking players are complaining about law, because they are losing to him, and just doing whatever. Blue ranks and above, nobody complains about him at all. People still believe law has tracking, range, and fast recovery. He hasn't had that, since Tag2. I have a +6 move and if I don't do it perfectly, or if the game itself can't recognize my inputs, a 14 frames move or faster, will beat my 12 frame after being +6. You can also side step, practically everything. The fact that law's slide is still his best move after the nerf, says a lot.

@55avenger i can see you were born in 2009. Back in the day the game wasn't as optimized, and it was like a 12 minute process to get into a game bc the game didn't start until all 10 pcs loaded individually. Even if you didn't have a toaster, someone else's toaster could toast your game
